PAT testing the appliance Firstly, a comprehensive visual inspection is carried out to assess the overall condition of the appliance, cabling and plug before we run any electrical portable appliance testing. After the visual inspection is complete, we carry out a full sequence of electrical tests using our calibrated Seaward PAT testing machines. These tests are performed in line with the latest IET Code of Practice to ensure your appliances meet required safety standards.

STEP 1

Repair items free of charge

If a fault is found where possible we repair minor faults there and then at no extra cost as part of your testing. This can include replacing damaged plugs, correcting basic wiring issues and fitting the correct fuse so that appliances are restored to a safe operating condition.

By taking care of these repairs during your PAT testing and appliance testing visit, you reduce the risk of future hazards and help protect staff, students and customers. If we cannot repair we will notify the site contact, and where possible and in coordination with your team, we can take it out of service to reduce recurrence of hazards and reduces the likelihood of future incidents

STEP 2

Full Detailed PAT Testing Report

Once the PAT testing and portable appliance testing is complete, we run the results through our reporting system and produce a detailed report with the date of each pat testing test, equipment details, locations of items and any defects or repairs carried out. You receive a fast, clear PAT testing report and Certificate of Testing so you can easily demonstrate electrical appliance testing compliance.

Retest Reminder Service

Our reminder service takes the hassle out of compliance.
